1. The cardholder (your employee) simply needs to visit an Engen service station and request the type and amount of product to be purchased (e.g. 50 litres of unleaded petrol). They must then present their Engen 1-Card for payment.
2. The Engen pump attendant will always perform the payment transaction on a Payment Terminal before delivering the product.
3. The attendant will insert the Engen 1-Card into the terminal, select the product type and enter the amount requested.
4. The terminal will then check that the card is allowed to be used at the service station and to purchase the requested product.
5. The terminal calculates the amount payable and checks that the card is allowed to purchase the requested amount.
- (Optional Extra) The terminal will then be touched to a Vehicle Identification Tag which is permanently attached to the vehicle.
6. The vehicle’s odometer reading will then be entered into the terminal.
7. The cardholder thereafter enters his/her secret PIN.
8. The terminal checks PIN.
9. Payment will either be approved or rejected and the terminal will print a receipt for the transaction or an explanation for rejection.
At the end of each month you will receive a detailed statement from Engen, showing all payment transactions as well as odometer readings and amount of litres used per 100 km.
